One of the first questions people ask us is, “How much is this website going to cost me?” Fair question. Nobody wants to call a Web Designer in CT and spend twenty minutes talking only to find out the price is nowhere near what they had in mind. At CT Website Design, we would rather put the numbers out there and make it easy. In 2026, our standard five-page website is $2,000 and our five-page WordPress website is $2,500. Need more than five pages? Additional pages are $100 each for a standard website and $150 each for a WordPress website.

There is also no money due up front. We start working on your website before you pay us anything. Once you see the rough draft and approve it, the first 50% is due. The other 50% is not due until the website is finished and live on the server of your choice. We have always liked doing it this way because you actually get to see what we are building before making your first payment.

We also have a website cost calculator on our site. This is great if you are sitting at home at night looking around and really do not feel like calling anybody yet. Put in what you need and get a better idea of what your website may cost. No awkward sales call just to get a number. We know people like to do some homework before picking up the phone. We do the same thing when we are buying something.

Now, there are cheaper websites out there. Absolutely. You can build one yourself or find somebody online who says they will do the whole thing for a few hundred bucks. Sometimes that works. Sometimes it turns into a mess. We have been doing CT Website Design since 2011, and we have seen plenty of business owners pay for a cheap website and then pay again when they need someone else to fix it. Cheap is not much of a deal when you have to buy it twice.

There is something else worth thinking about when comparing prices. You are not only buying five pages. You are hiring the person behind them. When you work with us, the person you talk to is the person doing the work. We do not send your project overseas or pass it off to somebody you have never spoken with. Basic SEO is also included with our designs. A Website Designer business owners hire should be thinking about how customers are going to find the site, not just what color the homepage should be.

If you are shopping around for a website in Connecticut, ask questions and compare what you are actually getting for the money. At CT Website Design, we try to make the whole thing pretty simple. No money up front. You approve the rough draft before paying the first 50%, and the final 50% is paid when your website is live on the server of your choice. Want to see what your project might cost? Try our website cost calculator. If the price looks good, give us a call (we can usually do a little better). You will be talking directly to the person who is going to build your website.
